When it comes to good things B1S- B1 has Beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice. Love the glossy screen. It's vibrant and bright. Build quality is top notch. HDMI and eSATA connections are great features that aren't available on a lot of laptops. The LED display is more than a gimmick. When you're playing games it's very nice to have the time right there so you can glance at it in the middle of the action when you have a finite amount of time to play. Speaking of games, the 8600GT is a surprisingly fast and powerful video card with the GDDR3 memory. I’ve been running Unreal Tournament 3 with max quality at near max resolution (1440x900) and getting 28-40 fps and Company of Heroes at max resolution (1680x1050) and near max quality and getting 25-40 fps. Overall, an incredibly fast and responsive machine. The coolest PC I've ever owned hands down!
We must talk about those annoying shortfalls also. Speakers sound thin but that's to be expected from a notebook. You really should be using headphones anyway to get the full experience. As others have mentioned, there is some bloat ware that needs to be cleaned up, though not as much as I expected after reading the other reviews. It took me a couple of hours to get the machine running in prime condition but that's to be expected with any new machine.
